SOMETIMES THE SMALLEST STEP IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION ENDS UP BEING THE BIGGEST STEP OF YOUR LIFE

WELCOME

Hello, and a genuine and heartfelt welcome. My name is Tara and I'm a qualified integrative therapist who works with individuals, partners, and families on a variety of issues. The video below is a good place to start if you'd like to learn a little about me, how I work, and how I can help. You can find more in-depth information throughout this website. You can also book a free consultation here, or contact me here. Please do reach out if you have any questions, I will be more than happy to help.

TARA COLEMAN-STARR (MBACP)

I'm an experienced and qualified registered therapist with a history of working with a variety of issues including: depression, anxiety, relationship problems (partners and families), ADHD, low self-esteem, anger, bereavement, trauma, and much more.

Although younger than some therapists, my combination of personal life experience and rigorous modern training allows me to help you from a unique position. Rather than working from a place of out-of-date theory, I hope to work from a place of empowerment, putting you at ease and working with you, whilst tailoring modern techniques to help you better understand yourself and move forward.

As an integrative counsellor, I believe that you are entirely unique, - so your counselling should be tailored to fit you. Because of that, I have specialised in multiple counselling theories at an advanced level, so that we can collaborate to discover what works for you, getting you from where you are to where you want to be.

WHY CHOOSE HEALING ROOTS?

Experienced

I have over eight years of experience working with people in a therapeutic capacity, and four years in counselling, including for Mind and local councils.

You can be sure that you are in competent, ethical, and caring hands when you choose Healing Roots.

Value

At Healing Roots, sessions run for a full hour, not 50-minutes as is usual, meaning you get more session time for the same or better rates than other therapists might charge.
